I'd like to propose a toast...
Happy New Year, everyone… may it be full of… things… and not living in fear… and… stuff.
Here’s to… all that jazz.

Of 2010: A Year in Bullet Points
I had several of my critiques published on a national Arts journal/blog
I got to know, and am now friends with, several great critics including a professional with the Philadelphia Inquirer
Friendships, in general, expanded greatly.
I maintained excellent grades throughout the year
I grew tremendously as an actor through our Playing Shakespeare class and our Movement class
I successfully...

Of the Death of Someone I Barely Knew
Yesterday morning, an alumni of my theatre department died in a car accident.
ACTF two years ago was held in Philly. Several of our students, as well as two of our faculty, went to see her in a professional production of a brand new Irish play that was making its North American premiere: Skin Deep by Paul Meade. Everyone fell in love with it and the two faculty members, one of which is one...
Morning, borninthemuseum. Thanks for following.
I ask all of my new followers a question.
Due to a terrible and unfortunate series of events, too lengthy and grotesque to chronicle at the present… well… too lengthy anyway… nothing is too grotesque… the grotesque is something to relish in… ANYWAY, you find yourself strapped down to a lab table, about to have a new drug tested on you. They have already tested it...
Lyrics - Music = Incomplete Work of Art
Hello, aseasontosleep. Thanks for following.
I ask all of my new followers a question.
What is absurdism to you, in your own terms?
thisfallowstate asked: Thanks for the follow! You've fulfilled a vacancy in my life--a friend (under 40) who also enjoys absurdist literature and drama. I did my undergrad research on Samuel Beckett and the Theatre of the Absurd and since, can't shake it.

Actors should just rule the world and do everything.
– My roomie, Jordan, on life and the theatre
Thank you for following, tocreate.
I ask all of my new followers a question.
You are at the zoo, enjoying the seal exhibit. While giggling so vivaciously it’s audacious at the cuddly little things, you notice that someone is watching you. You casually make your way to the Reptile House… but notice that he is following you. You end up in the massive exhibit. You fly down the maze of hallways to a dead end! They...

Sorry. It isn’t consistent with the rest of the adaptation to have it done this way.
That’s what I would write in my review if I was one of the first-view critics.
Study film from a literary standpoint. Study criticism. Study design. Study directing.
It makes no sense to have this done except for...
Of "Little Fockers" and Owen Wilson
I just saw Little Fockers. Ultimate, when-it-boils-down-to-it, summed up criticism… Little Fockers = Meh.
When it is funny, it’s really funny.
When isn’t it funny? When Owen Wilson is on the screen. He plays Kevin, Ben Stiller’s wife’s ex who is loaded to the point where he can just go off and do whatever he wants, who dresses like idek, and has an assortment...

Of the Disadvantage of Living in a Huge Country
There are a lot more people with a lot more opinions.
Is the size of a nation directly proportional to how easily it passes equal rights legislation? I’m don’t know. It makes sense to me, though.
It’s funny… our forefather’s believed wholeheartedly in manifest destiny, and they conquered, bought, and explored their way across the continent. No one would deny...

What did you get for Christmas? If you don’t celebrate, what did you do instead, yesterday?

Merry Christmas to all of my lovely followers.
johanism asked: Thanks for following, Nic! Happy Christmas and fuck, your background's cool! And you're the only person in my followers list who makes a reference to LotR in their about me section. Thousands of cool points! Oh yeah, for Christmas I wish your muse to never stop whispering inspirations!

christopher-isherwood asked: I'm with you on your post regarding marriage, which probes me to ask if you've seen Bridezillas? Every so often there's a couple on there who are in their late teens/early twenties. In one episode, there was a 19 year old girl who clearly wasn't ready for marriage yet had a wedding anyway. Needless to say everything that could've gone wrong went wrong. I've also had a...

Of When People My Age Get Married
I look at them like this:
I just can’t help but think, “YOU DID WHAT? YOU GOT MARRIED?!?”
20 - 21. I know everyone doesn’t feel or think the same way… but I seriously CANNOT imagine being married at my age. I love my girlfriend… but I couldn’t marry her right now… uh-uh no way!
Good for them, I guess.

I’m now up to 36 pages.
On the plus side, I made it through to the beginning of production meetings… which means I’m done with the pre-pre-process of my design…
Oh dear.
Hello, jordancyphert! Long time no see! :P
I ask all of my new followers a question.
You’ve been offered the role of the understudy to Mungojerry in a particular nearby production of CATS. Do you take the role?
…JK JK :P
People, follow him! He’s my uber-talented roomie!
christopher-isherwood asked: I actually used to follow you on my old blog (ijustwanttodanceinyourtangles) but started this one because I felt I had lost a bit of my identity on the other. :(
Anyway, I agree with what you said about Spiderman, as far as mocking it goes. It does bother me to no end that actors seem to keep getting hurt and it feels as though someone has to die in order for the production to be...

GUYS I JUST FINISHED MY PLAY!!!
I’m so pleased with it. A year’s worth of off and on work finally completed!
Now, there’s still re-working to be done… but I finally know how the story ends! So pleased… so so happy.

Of Remembering
Ok… so, yeah… there is a lot of hoopla over the disaster at the Foxwoods Theatre tonight… And my prayers go out to anyone that might have been injured.
HOWEVER, just because there are technical difficulties and injuries is no reason to bash the show… there are plenty of other reasons to bash this show… we all know that.
If we mocked and laughed at every show...
